Sidney passed away in 1977 in Louisiana.[1] Burial was in the LeBleu Cemetery in Fenton, Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana.[2]
Sidney and Mary B. Pitre appear in the 1910 census in Calciesu, Louisiana, with their son, Sidney. When the census was taken in May, he was recorded as 6/12 years old, or about 6 months, so he could have been born in late 1909. [1]
Sidney and Mary B. Pitre appear in the 1920 Census with their children Lawrence S. (age 10, presumably the very young Sidney L. from the 1910 census) in Police Jury Ward 5, Jefferson Davis, Louisiana, and sister, Esma (possibly Erma). [2] In the 1930, Sidney appears listed as a widower with son with his son Lawrence, again in Police Jury Ward 5, Jefferson Davis Parish. Lawrence is listed as 20 years old. Sidney is age 46 and is listed as widowed. No Esma/Erma. [3]
