Biography

Arthur Pitre has French origins.

Arthur Francois Pitre, son of Francois Pitre and Azelie Pitre, was born in Opelousas, Louisiana in 1853.[1] He lived in his father's household in 1860.[2]

He married Amanda Prudhomme in Opelousas in 1877.[3][4]

He married Aurelia Durio in 1882.[citation needed]

In 1900 he lived in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[11]

He married again in 1907 to Alma Fontenot in St. Landry Parish.[12]

They were living in St. Landry in 1910.[13]
