Marie Sarah Pitre, daughter of Francois Pitre and Marie Arseneaux, was born in Carencro, Louisiana in 1887.[1]
She was 13 and living in her parents' St. Landry Parish household in 1900.[2]
Research Notes
She may have married Thomas Gillufa, possibly from Italy, in 1919. [citation needed] His name actually may have been Guillory, and they may have had a son born in 1917 who died in 1918.[3]
In 1930 they were living in Los Angeles, California.[4]
By 1940 she was divorced and living with her sister in Houston.[5]
She died in Louisiana in 1968[6]
and was buried in St. Landry Church Cemetery in Opelousas, Louisiana.[7]
