Biography

Note: His death date on his tombstone is Oct. 7, 1912[1], however, he was listed in the 1930 US Census with his daughter Anna Rena, and several other family members. This could be an error as he is also listed as "female." It may have been Mrs. Charles Pitre, his wife, on the census.[2]

Charles Pitre and Marie Ophelia Coeaux Pitre gave birth to 2 children not listed here. They are incorrectly listed under Charles' brother Onesime Charles Pitre PITRE-1276). Marie Estelle Pitre who died as a baby and Charles Laurent Pitre (my grandfather) (PITRE-1286). The 4 children listed here (Leon, Marie Louisea, Anna Rena and George Pitre, would be the correct half siblings to Charles Laurent Pitre and Maries Estelle Pitre.
