Biography
Leon Augustin Pitre is a descendant of an Acadian
Leon Augustin Pitre, son of Leon Charles Pitre and Alzina Jeansonne, was born in Opelousas, Louisiana in 1861.
In 1880 he was living with an aunt and uncle in St. Landry, Louisiana.[1]
He married Leonise Richard in St. Landry Church in Opelousas in 1884.[2]
Children of the marriage:
In 1900 he and his family and a Jeansonne uncle lived in St. Landry Parish.[6]
