Adam Pitre was born in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in 1875, son of Lastie Pitre and Eugenie Bihm. He lived with his parents in St. Landry in 1880.[1]

He married Melanie Prejean in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, in 1896.[2]

Known children of the marriage:

  4. Anna Pitre (c.1906)

In 1900 they lived in St. Landry Parish,[5] where they remained in 1910,[6] 1920,[7] 1930,[8] and through at least 1940.[9]

Adam died in Opelousas, Louisiana in 1955,[10] and was buried at St. Bridget Catholic Church Cemetery in Lawtell, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[11]
