Even though I have not located Ambroise and Catherine Chretien's marriage record, Ambroise is the son of Pierre & Julie 'Angelique' Leduc as shown in his daughter Odile's marriage to Ernest Monette. The record states a 2nd to 3rd degree consanguinity, i.e. Ernest Monette's grandfather Jean Baptiste Pitre is the sibling of Odile's father Ambroise Pitre.
