Biography

Marie was born around 1761, probably in the Bay of Fortune where her father is listed in a 1763 census for the Ilse St. Jean [1]

She married c1780 Germain who is listed in the 1798 Census for Lot 43, Rollo Bay, King County, PEI where there are 11 in the household [2] Germain's family moved to Cheticamp with Basile Chiasson.

Germain died before August 1809 at Cheticamp as Marie Pitre is listed as widow of Germain Chiasson at that time she lived with Maturin, Charlemagne, Laurent, Polycarpe, Marie Barbe, Charlotte, Germain.[3]
