Henry Alexandre "Harry Honore" Pitre was born on December 6, 1885 in Tecumseh, Essex, Ontario, Canada to Jean 'Baptiste' Pitre and Marguerite Lesperance. He was in his parent's home in 1891, at age 5, in Essex, Ontario, Canada.[1] At age 15, he was in their home along with 3 siblings.[2]

Border Crossing into USA: Harry and Wife Elizabeth occasionally Visited Detroit to see his Sister, Aggie Baron. [3]
He was buried in the St Anne Roman Catholic / Paroisse Sainte Anne Parsh Cemetery in Tecumseh, Essex County, Ontario, Canada.[5]
Research Notes
On, Harry's death certificate, he is listed as single not a widow or married.[6] That seems odd if he was married in 1935 when he was visiting his sister Agnes.
I don't think Harry was married, but Elizabeth mentioned is actually his sister. His older sister Elizabeth never married, and was the informant on his death certificate.
If Harry told the officer at the border that his contact was Elizabeth Pitre, then perhaps it was only assumed that she was a wife, not a sister.
Harry's obituary does not mention any spouses or children. His survivors were: "two brothers, Edward and Ralph Pitre, Tecumseh; and three sisters, Mrs. Israel Barron, Wyandotte, Mich.; and Miss Elizabeth and Miss Minnie Pitre, Tecumseh."[4]
