Peters-1495 and Pitre-1728 do not represent the same person because: different birth dates, two marriages in different places the same year. different parents.
Peters-1495 and Pitre-1728 appear to represent the same person because: there are not two Alexanders on the 1860 census nor the 1870 census, nor is there an Alfred. The 1860 census lists Alexander's age as 3, so the 1857 birth date is likely the correct date. Correct last name is Pitre.
