Biography

PITRE, Pierre - native of this parish (dec. Pierre & Marie FONTENOT) m. 15 June 1813 Simphorose VIGE - native of this parish (Charles & Catherine CATOY) Wits: B. SMITH, --- MAQUILLE. This act recorded by Rev. Gabriel ISABEY - Cure of St. Martin of Atakapas because Fr. BUHOT's illness made it impossible for him to write this entry although he married the couple prior to his death. Fr. Gabriel ISABEY (Opel. Ch.: v.1-A, p.243)[1]
PITRE, Pierre d. 29 Oct. 1842 at age 55 years (Opel. Ch.: v.2, p.32)
