- From the Notarial Records of St. Landry Parish: 15 December 1836 (acquittance release of mortgage): Augustin Pitre acknowledged he has received from his father and natural tutor Joseph Pierre Pitre the sum of $1131.87 which is his entire inheritance from his mother, his grandfather (Jean Joubert), his grandmother (Adelaide Ledoux), his great uncle (Villeneuve Ledoux), & his uncle (Jean Baptiste Ledoux). This releases his father from any further obligation.
- Estate of Joseph Pierre Pitre: On 7th March 1845, inventory done of the estate of Joseph Pierre Pitre, husband of Marguerite Elise Vige. The estate is located in Prairie Ronde (about 10 miles from the Opelousas courthouse). Buyers to make payments at the residence of Auguste Pierre Pitre in Prairie Ronde. The sale totals $703.13. Signed by Marguerite Elise Vige, John Pitts, Auguste J. Pitre, Melasie Pitre, Marie Lodoiska Pitre, Joassin L. Pitre, Dalicourt Joubert, --- Fruge, Achille Dupre. Auguste J. Pitre appointed administrator.

JOUBERT, Marguerite - spouse of Joseph Pierre PITTRE (daughter of Jean JUBERT & Adelaide LEDOUX) died 19 April 1819 at age 20 years at the home of her father at la Preerie Chatagni [Prairie Chataignier].
