I can also remember playing for hours in my grandmother's long-closed grocery store, that was attached to her home. The display cases, weigh scales and paper ledgers were all left intact, and made excellent toys.

I can remember visiting "ma mere" grandmother Rosalie as a young child (my grandfather Xavier died before I was born) and being awoken by the noisey railway train that passed every night at 2 am. The train tracks were a few hundred feet from her home.
