PITRE, Azelie (Charles PITTRE fils [Jr.] & Adele Delphine JOUBERT) b. 31 May 1832, bt. 8 July 1832 Pats: Charles PITTRE & Catherine VIGE; Mats: Jean JOUBERT & Adelaide LEDOUX; Spons: Villeneuve JOUBERT & Lise Charles PITTRE. Fr. Flavius Henri ROSSI (Opel. Ch.: v.3, p.224)

Azelie died in her sleep, as noted by a notice in the Crowley Signal newspaper: "The mother of Edgar Pitre was found dead in her bed. Edgar keeps a store in this neighborhood (Crowley)". She is buried in the family crypt of her husband in the Pitre family cemetery in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
