Leon Joseph Pitre, son of Pierre Damon Pitre and Laura Chovet of Belgium, was born in Washington, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in 1894. His birth was recorded at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington.[1]
He married Emily Guillory c.1918.
In 1930 they were living in St. Landry Parish with two sons and a daughter,[2]
and by 1940 they had another son.[3]
