Jean Baptiste Pitre was born about 1732 in Chipoudy, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia, son of Pierre Pitre and Agathe Doucet.[1]

Jean (21) married Marie Anne Thibodeau (18) (born in Acadie, Nouvelle-France) in 1754 in Chipoudy, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia. Their known children were:

  1. Theotiste Pitre (about 1755 – Nov 4 1757) .
  2. Elisabeth Pitre (Sep 25 1757 – Jan 21 1759)

Jean (28) married Anne Surette (26) (born in Grand Pré, Acadie, Nova Scotia) on Mar 31, 1761 in St. Pierre les Becquets, Nicolet, Canada.

Their known children were:

  1. Joseph Pitre (May 5 1762 – Nov 9 1815) .
  2. Marguerite Pitre (May 5 1762 – Aug 14 1807) .
