John[1]was born in 1610. John was the child of Thomas Pitt and Priscilla Searle. He was the Rector at Blandford, St Mary, Dorset, England.

Will

His will was written just a few days before his death and was very brief leaving everything in trust to his two brothers William and Robert to be disposed of and the residue distributed by them to his children.
In the Name of God Amen.
I John Pitt of Blandford Saint Marie in the Countie of Dorsett Clerke beinf sicke of Bodie but of perfect mind and memorie (thanks be to God for the same, doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
First and principallie I retorne my Soule into the hands of God that gave it mee And my bodie to the Earth from where it was taken.
And as for that worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to blesse mee I dispose thereof as followeth (viz:)
I give devise and bequeath to my loving Brothers William Pitt and Robert Pitt All my lands Tenements Debts Goods Advowsanes and Chattels whatsoever To hold to them intheir hands for ever In trust nevertheless that my said Brothers will first out of my Estatepay all my debts and the Remainder thereof my desire is that my said Brothers William and Robert shall dispose of at their discretion among my Children as they my said Brothers shall see fitt which said Brothers William and Robert I make my whole executors ,witnesed my hand and seale the nyneteenth Day of Aprill Anno Dominin One thousand Six hundred and Seaventie two.
