MARLIN PITTMAN, 63, of Cherry Tree RD, died unexpectedly in his home at 10 a.m. Thursday of a heart attack. A son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pittman, the former deceased, he was born September 7, 1875. He was a salesman for the H. C. Whitmer Company of Columbus, Ind., and worked as usual the day preceeding his death. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Rebecca (Butterbaugh) Pittman; his widow, Mrs. Florence Pittman, and these children: Lyle Pittman of Kinport, Miss Bessie and Miss Roxie, both of Indiana, Mrs. Fred Gibson of Cherry Tree and Lester and Miss Leona, both at home. Funeral services will be conducted in Uniontown Church, near Cherry Tree at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. E. F. Pierce will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.[1]
