Henrietta (Pittman) Miller passed on at the age 40, leaving behind a loving husband and several young children, in the summertime of 1851.
Her Pittman family linked two different Miller families from early Craven County together, through marriage.
She married Alexander Miller, who was an immigrant from Scotland, and they lived in New Bern. Her brother named Pendleton "Pemberton" Pittman married Elizabeth Miller, who was from the North Side of the Neuse River near Bayboro, and they also made their home in the city of New Bern.
