Biography

Robert was christened 26 May 1741, in Hingham Norfolk. ^[1] Possibly born into a large family though it is difficult to tell since records at the time only note the father.

Robert marries Elizabeth Bayes in 1769, Mattishall, Norfolk, her home town. A village just 7 miles away. They appear to live there for several years before returning to Hingham, his home town around 1780.

Robert was buried 16 March 1810, age 69 ^[8]

Research Notes

There is no evidence that this Robert lived in Newark, Nottingham so doubt that Muriel Pitts was born there, more likely Mattishall, Norfolk if at all associated with this family.
