Obituary
Laurel Anson Pixler, second son of a family of seven children born to William H. and Rosa Pixler, near Burr Oak Kansas, August 10th 1889 and departed this life December 30th 1956.
He was married October 6, 1912 to Florence Vivia Pangborn of Burr Oak.
Three daughters came to bless their home, Cecelia, Olive, and Norma.
Those who preceded him in death were his parents, one brother Harry, two sisters Myrtle and Belva and one son-in-law, Edmond Nixon, who gave his life in the service of is country in 1945.
He leaves to mourn, Florence, his cherished companion of 44 years, three daughters and two sons-in-law; Charles Myhra and Harold Manning, both former World war II veterans; also six grandchildren, Paula and Charles Myrha of Merrill, Wis., Sharon Nixon of Fort Worth, Tex., Judy Laurel Lee and Shelling Manning of Wichita, two brothers, Clarence of Burr Oak, George of Carlsbad New Mexico; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Walton of Carlsbed and Mrs. Vesta Leslie of Newton, many other relatives and friends.
