Hi, I was doing research relating to education in Foster, Rhode Island. I came across a Stephen Place, Jr who agreed to have three of his children: John Place (apprenticed bond until it terminated in 1800 at age 21), Marcy Place (apprenticed until it terminated in July 9, 1783 at age 18) and Thomas Place to be apprenticed until it terminated in August 25 1796. They were indentured William Tyler, Esq of Foster, RI I can scan and send document. They were listed as "poor children" of Stephen Place, Jr Source: Foster Town Council Records 1781 - 1830 page 63

Thank you for posting. George Washington Post is my 4th Great Uncle on my Mother's (Dorothy McGee) side, her mother Florence Post.

I had his information but, not his children's names.

Hi David,

Thank you so much for adopting some orphan profiles šŸ˜Š, it is so nice that you will be taking care of them šŸ¤— . It will be very much appreciated if you can check that they are properly sourced, especially the Pre-1700 profiles.

If you need any help, please let me know.

Take care

Karen

Hi David! Thank you for adopting a pre-1500 profile. I see that it only has Ancestry Family Trees as sources right now, which as you probably know is not valid. As you work on this profile you will want to refer to the pre-1500 requirements for sources this will help you understand how the requirements differ for that time period. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Pre-1500_Resource_Page

Hi David,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

The United States Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).
