He lived in Manchester, CT (Union Village) in 1832 (his brother, Samuel, addressed a letter to him there on July 22 of that year and his son, Ransom, was born there a month later). The family apparently returned to Foster, RI, shortly thereafter for their son, James Henry, was born there in 1834. Lyman T. Place states that Hazard migrated to Oswego sometime around 1836, but it would not have been before September 14 of that year, that being the date of the marriage of his daughter, Mary, to Dr. Simeon Gardiner Place. Hazard's name is not found as the head of a household in any of the Federal censuses until 1850.
He died in 1867 at age 76 and is buried at Oswego, New York.[1]
Originally this profile had birth 19 November 1786, Exeter, Washington, Rhode Island, United States but only showed censuses as sources. Set to match his headstone photo at Find a Grave. Might be more at Ancestry.com, but not referenced. Auborn-4 21:21, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
