Biography

Francis was born on 24 May 1860 in Starigrad, Starigrad, , Croatia. He was the son of Vinko Plancic and Katherine Vlahovich.[1]

Immigration: 1877.

Naturalization as a Citizen: 1878.

When Francis was 25 he married Annie G McGoldrick on 26 January 1886 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon.[2]

In 1890 Francis (age about 29) was employed in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. Note: He appears in the Portland City Directory for 1890-1891 as a ship carpenter employed by OR&N boar yard and Willamette Ship Building Co. The location is 308 N. 19th.[3]

On 14 June 1900 Francis (age 40) was living in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. Note: Ann's birth is given as Apr, 1854.[4]

On 19 April 1910 Francis (age 49) was living in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. Note: He is living at 306 N 20th St. with wife Annie G. and all three of her children: Katherine, Hannah and Vincent.[5]

In 1920 Francis (age about 59) was living in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. Note: He lived at 306 20th St. near Pettygrove. He immigrated in 1877 and was naturalized in 1878.[7]

On 5 April 1930 Francis (age 69) was living in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon.[8]

Francis died at the age of 76 on 7 January 1937 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. Cause of death was Carcinoma of the Lung.[1]

Francis was buried on 9 January 1937 in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah, Oregon.
