Ada Seville Plank was born on August 12, 1908 to Frederick Plank and Lena Seville Barrett.[1] In 1915, she, her sister, Annette, and her parents, were living next door to her maternal grandmother and widowed maternal aunt.[2] At the time of the World War I draft in 1918, the family was living at 317 North Main Street in Canastota, Madison, New York.[3] Her parents were divorced sometime between then and 1920, as her father did not die until 1948, and her mother listed herself as "widowed" on subsequent census records.

In 1920, they were living in Canastota, Madison, New York, next door to her maternal aunt's family.[4] She continued to live with her mother, sister, and brother-in-law at 315 North Main in Lenox, Madison County, through 1925.[5] In 1930, the family, including her nephew, Keith, are living at 317 North Main Street in Canastota, Madison, New York.[6]

She was married to Herman Robert DeMond on August 31, 1933, in Auburn, New York.[1] In 1940, the couple, along with Ada's mother and two of their children, have settled on Joy Street in Rome, Oneida, New York..[7]

She died on january 22, 1988,[8] and is buried with her husband at Maple Hill Cemetery in Oneida, New York.[9]
