Edward Platts was born in Leicestershire, England.

Edward Platts was born in Whitwick, Leicestershire, England in about 1715 and baptised on 30th October, 1715 in Coleorton church, Leicestershire, England. His parents were James Platts and Sarah Unknown of Whitwick. ^[1]

NOTE: I'm not sure if the following two marriages and death relate to the same Edward Platts/Plat or if there was another (Knossington is in the east of the county, near Oakham and Wilbarston is in Northamptonshire, between Market Harborough and Corby):

Edward Plat of Wilbarston was married to Sarah Bull in Knossington, Leicestershire on 3rd July 1737. ^[2][3]

Susanna Clark was married to Edward Platts in Knossington, Leicestershire on 2nd February 1740. ^[4][5]

Edward Platt died in 1773 in Knossington, Leicestershire and was buried there on 27th May 1773. ^[6]
