Biography

Robert Platts was born on 26 Jul 1900 in Upper Moor, Coleorton, Leicestershire, England and baptised in Coleorton on 18th March 1900. He was the son of miner, John George Platts and Frances Essex. ^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]}

In 1939, Robert Platts (Coal Belt Miner Below Heavy Work, born on 26 Jul 1900) and his wife, Dorothy E Platts (Unpaid Domestic Duties, born on 17 May 1901) were living at 15, Council Houses, Coleorton with their two daughters, Dorothy M (born 03 Feb 1927) and Joyce ( born 18 Jul 1928) and two other household members. ^[13]

Robert died in 1965 in Coalville, Leicestershire, England. ^[14]

His widow, Dorothy died in 1984. ^[15]
