Biography

Luke Platts was born in about 1799 and baptised on 10 Mar 1799 in Whittington, Derbyshire, England. He was the son of Luke and Katherine. [1]

Luke married Sally Saunderson on 09 Apr 1822 in Whittington, Derbyshire, England. [2]

Luke and Sally (aka Sarah) had a son, George who was baptised on 29th December 1822 in Dronfield, Derbyshire. [3][4]

Luke and Sally had a son, William who was baptised on 12th December 1824 in Whittington. [5]

The couple had three daughters, Jane (1827), Mary (1829) and Elizabeth (1831).

Luke (a widower) married Jane Coulson on 27th August 1832 in Sutton cum Duckmanton, Derbyshire, England. [6]

In 1841, Luke Platts (41) and his wife, Jane (38) had the following children living with them: Jane (14), Charles (7), John (6), Henry (5) and Luke (3) in Long Duckmanton, Derbyshire. [7]

In 1851, the couple had three sons, John (15), Henry (14) and Luke (12) living with them in Low Green, Chesterfield. [8][9]

In 1861, the couple were living in Sheep Bridge, Dunston, Derbyshire. [10]

Luke died age 68 in 1866 and was buried on 17 Oct 1866 in Whittington, Derbyshire, England. [11]
