Sarah (Platts) Rodwell was born in Leicestershire, England.

Sarah Platts was born in about 1779 and baptised on 22nd Feb 1779 in Rearsby, Leicestershire, England. She was the daughter of Thomas Platts and his wife, Mary Doddin. ^[1][2]

Sarah Platts of the parish of St Margaret, Leicester was married to Thomas Raddle or Rodwell on 18th October 1802, in Queniborough, Leicestershire, England. ^[3][4]

Sarah's husband, Thomas Rodwell died in 1833, age 53 years and was buried on 28th March 1833 in Rearsby. ^[5]

In 1841, Sarah Rodwell (60) was housekeeper to Thomas Martin (80, head) in Little Street, Rearsby, Leicestershire. ^[6]

In 1851 Sarah Rodwell (a widow age 73) was on parish relief in Rearsby, her birthplace. ^[7]

Sarah Roddle died age 79 years and was buried on 26 Oct 1857 in Rearsby. ^[8]
