Biography

William Platts was baptised on 5 Jun 1809 in Castle Donington, Leicester, England. He was the son of Thomas Platts and his wife, Dorothy Dunnicliffe. [1]

Since they had another son called William in 1810, I can only assume that the first William died in infancy, though I have yet to find a source to support this. I have therefore set the death date to about 1810 in Castle Donington, since William and the next two children were all born there, so there was probably no move.

NOTE: Because of the high number of profiles I manage, I have taken the decision to orphan any infants who died and who I have already fully sourced. This profile is in this category and should not be altered, unless new source material is provided which gives more exact dates. It should also not be detached or merged away. Thank you.Gillian C
