He was a PVT in U.S. Army during World War II. He and his wife Peggy had 3 sons. He was very gifted at playing musical instruments and loved to play with his brother Raymond. They loved to play Gospel Music.
He is buried in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Durham North Carolina.[4]
