Note: 1962: Funeral services for John Ploof, 82, a retired farmer, will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in the Yost & Webb Funeral Chapel. He died yeslerday in his home at 1560 College Avenue. Ploof was born in Decatur, Neb., and farmed there until his retirement 13 years ago. He moved to Fresno in 1940. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge in Decatur. Ploof is survived by his widow, Bertha May; a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Hale of Decatur;. a sister, Mrs. Mabel Lundgren of Sonora, Tuolumne County, and four grandchildren. Burial will be in the Belmont Memorial Park. ^[6]
