Note: 1916-1917 Hancock Directory (Polk's Houghton County, MI, USA): Ploof Roy W., tmstr Armour & Co., residence 918 Summit. [3] 1920: Roy and Rose are living in Milwaukee in 1920 with no children. Roy married Rose Koenen and then left her in Hancock, Michigan. He then went to Milwaukee, change his name and end up in West Bend, Wisconsin and had 7 children, and then left her; as far as we know, he never married again. Why he was running, he never divorce the first wife. They said she was sick,... or just young and foolish. [7]
