On 11 May 1823 John Plummer made his will in the newly formed Davidson County, North Carolina. He bequeathed to his wife Margaret and the following children:
Zadoc
Isaac
Philemon
John
Susannah Broyles
Elizabeth Copple
Delila Copple
Huldah
Mary
Philemon and John are described as the two youngest. Isaac Plummer and Isaac Copple are named executors. It appears John did not die until many years later.[1] The estate sale was held 13 Mar 1836 and the will was not probated until the August term of 1836.
Per custom the sons and daughters are listed separately in age order. In the census of 1790 John has one daughter, presumably Susannah.
