Biography

Rowley is just north of Ipswich, Massachusetts. Ipswich is south of Newbury and Newburyport which sits in the northernmost area of the coastal border next to New Hampshire.

Ann Plummer was baptized 18 January 1691, Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts.[1] Her parents were Benjamin Plumer and Ann Wood. Benjamin Plumer's family originated in Newbury, Massachusetts.[2]

Ann Plummer married Jonathan Wheeler on 15 November 1710 also in Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts.[3] Jonathan and Ann Wheeler had the following known children all in Rowley[4]:

  • Benjamin Wheeler, b. 15 Sep 1711; m. 1st Rebecca Pengree, 30 Apr 1734, Rowley she was b. 22 Apr 1714 ; m. 2nd Lucy Hastings, 1753, New England
  • Ann Wheeler, bap. 8 May 1715
  • Stephen Wheeler, b. 25 Dec 1716
  • Abner Wheeler, b. 7 Jan 1719; bap. 10 Jan 1720; later residence of Andover, MA
  • Jonathan Wheeler III, b. 11 Jun 1724; m. Esther kimball; d. 1788

Ann Plummer Wheeler's death date is unknown at this time. Since the birth of her children were recorded in the Rowley, Massachusetts vital records she would have died after 1724.
