Biography

Randall Plunkett was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Randall Plunkett, 13th Baron Dunsany was born Mar 1738/9, son of Edward Plunkett and Mary Allen.^[1] He mar. (1) on 12 Aug 1771 to Margaret (Archdekin) Mandeville (widow of Edward Mandeville, of Ballydine, co. Tipperary; d. 12 Sep 1791), dau. of Edward Archdekin, of co. Kilkenny. ^[1]

He lived at Charleville, County Louth, Ireland. He succeeded as the 13th Baron Dunsany [I., c. 1462] on 9 June 1781. He established his right to a seat in the Irish House of Lords in 1785.

Randall mar. (2) 24 Apr 1797 or 7 Aug 1800 Emma Mary Smith (dsp. 7 Jun 1828), sister of Sir Drummond Smith, 1st Bt., and 2nd dau. of John Smith, of London, merchant, by his wife Mary Ransom, dau. of Griffin Ransom, of Westminster, banker.^[1]

Randall died 4 Apr 1821 and was succeeded by his son, Edward, 14th Baron Dunsany, by first wife.^[1]
