Biography

Daniel Plybon was born about 1785, based on census records. He was the son of John and Rebecca Plybon.

Daniel was named in court in 1819 as the father of a child with Anna Blankenship. The child was born in 1815.

We know Daniel was probably married in 1840 but his wife's name, as well as the names of his children, are unknown.

Daniel may have been living with his mother in 1820 Franklin. We have land records proving Daniel was there in the 1820's, but he does not turn up in 1830 census records for Franklin. Notably, in 1833, Daniel is named with his siblings in a Chancery Court case, at which time he is shown as "no inhabitant", meaning the sheriff couldn't find him in Franklin. And then he reappears in the 1840 Census. The demographics would indicate he was married with 1 son and 5 daughters.

Daniel was apparently missed in the 1850 census, but he was recorded in Franklin Co. in personal property tax lists for that year.

In 1870, Daniel was age 85 and living with his widowed sister, Lydia Divers. No information about death or burial are available. Nor is there reliable information on Daniel's apparent family.
