DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Martha by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Martha:
Belk-483 and Plyler-329 appear to represent the same person because: they share the exact same vital statistics, the same parents and the same siblings.
Belk-483 and Plyler-329 are not ready to be merged because: Hi! I need to do some more digging, but it appears Agnes and James Belk were actually Martha’s grandparents. It is possible there are more there is more than one Martha, but according to here death certificate, her Mother was Frankie/Sara Belk Knight and her father was last named Plyler. It does not appear that Frankie/Sara ever married the Plyler and her parents raise Martha. I am happy to look further into it, I have dropped the ball recently, life gets in the way. If you have more info I am happy to collaborate. I admit, I am not always right. Dayna Sistare Schock [email address removed]
