Obituary for Mr. Amory Poe Mr. Amory Poe, 90, of Royston, GA passed away Monday, March 18, 2013. Mr. Poe was born in Jackson County, GA on July 15, 1922, son of the late Paul Poe and the late Ethel Glenn Poe. He was retired from Westinghouse and a poultry farmer. Mr. Poe was a member of the Pennington Chapel United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran having served during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Dortha Crowe Poe; daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Brown of Royston, GA, Linda (Dan) Fleming also of Royston, GA; daughter-in-law, Susan Poe of Royston, GA; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; brothers, Lanier Poe and A.P. Poe both of Jackson County. In addition to his parent, Mr. Poe was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Poe; daughter, Wilma Jane Poe; brothers, Woodrow Poe and Davis Poe. Funeral services for Mr. Poe will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Bryan, Mr. Robby Oliver, and Rev. Mike Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Cary Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. The family is at the home. Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the Pennington Chapel United Methodist Church, Attn: Memorials, 2712 Sandy Cross Road, Royston, GA 30662. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
