Biography

Anne Elizabeth must have been the first child of Pierre Parrot Poirier and Anne Gaudet. She was married in 1788, making her born between 1766 (parents marriage) and 1774 (census with one girl). Since 1774 would be a little young at time of marriage, she will for now be 1768 until more sources are identified.

As of April 1774 the family lived in Bonaventure and had three boys and one girl[1] This would presumably be Anne Elizabeth, Placide and two additional boys. By August 1777 they had added one girl to the family[2] resulting in Anne Elizabeth, and Marguerite (a newborn) as the two girls, Placide, Joseph, Hilaire and one more boy, perhaps Nicholas? The two census say 3 boys in both years, except for sure one additional boy was born in 1775, so it's either 2 boys in 1774 and 3 in 1777, or 3 to 4, respectively.

Anne Elisabeth married Joseph Arseneau 11/24/1788. Her parents were Pierre Poirier, deceased, and Anne Gaudet.[3]

They had five children between 1789 and 1795. Some were baptised in Carleton and some in Ristigouche[4]

No further records for found for her or Joseph in Quebec after 1795.

She passed away about 1841 in Tracadie, New Brunswick. [citation needed]
