Adrien - called “Andre”; According to the Reg. of Bailly (Caraquet), Adrien was born at Arichat on Apr. 22, 1762 and baptised on July 30, 1771; His godfather was Alexandre DesRoches and his godmother was Gertrude Landry.
Adrien married his first wife, Marie-Blandine Benoit (daughter of Simon Benoit and Louise-Gervais Dugas) about 1785.
According to the Reg. of Cheticamp, “Andre” married a second time, on Feb 4, 1822, to Marie Deveau (daughter of Joseph Deveau and Angelique Hebert), widow of Bruno Poirier; disp 3-3 deg. Consanguinity
“Andre” is the ancestor of one of the branches of Poiriers in Cheticamp and is the focus of Jean Doris LeBlancs first book.
