Marguerite and François Poirier married before November 17, 1755 the time of the deportations. A son Pierre Poirier was born in Beausejour, Acadie and he married in 1776 in Saint-Domingue, Haiti where many exiled Acadians stopped as they traveled to Acadian settlements in Louisiana.
