Marie was born and baptized on 4 Nov 1852 in Grande-Digue.[1] She was the daughter of Pascal Poirier and Justine Gallant.
Marie married Simeon Bourgeois, widower of Dauphine Melanson, on 10 Feb 1879 in Grande-Digue.[2] A dispensation was granted for 3 to 3 degrees of consanguinity.
