Laura died on 11 January 1914 following a 7 or 8 month battle with Consumption (Tuberculosis).[5] She is interred beside her brother, Henri Poirier and two sisters, Elmire Poirier and Odila Poirier at Notre Dame de la Visitation Cemetery in Grande-Digue, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada.[6]
