Emlichheim (nederlands Emmelkamp) is heden ten dage een gemeente in Grafschaft Bentheim in de Duitse deelstaat Nedersaksen. [2]

Jan emigreerde in 1891 naar de Verenigde Staten van Amerika. [3]

Jan huwde met Henrietta Aalderink op 1 november 1916 te Hamilton, Allegan County, Michigan. Uit dit huwelijk kwamen de volgende kinderen voort:

  1. Jacob Pol, 1918–1918;
  2. Justin Pol, 1919–2007;
  3. Jessie Barkel-Pol, 1922–1969;
  4. Joyce Pol, 1924–2008.

Jan Harm Pol stierf op 14 april 1926 te Hamilton, Heath Township, Allegan County, Michigan. Doodsoorzaak was chronische bronchitis en bronchiale astma. [4] [5]

Biography

Jan Harm Pol, son of Jan Pol and Jennegien Brouwer, was born on 23 February 1879 at Emlichheim, in County Bentheim, Province of Hannover, Kingdom of Prussia, German Empire.

Emlichheim (Dutch Emmelkamp) is today a township within County Bentheim in the German State of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen).

Jan emigrated in 1891 to the United States of America, where he became known as John Harm Poll.

Jan wed Henrietta Aalderink on 1 November 1916 at Hamilton, Allegan County, Michigan. To this marriage were born:

  1. Jacob Pol, 1918–1918;
  2. Justin Pol, 1919–2007;
  3. Jessie (Poll) Barkel, 1922–1969;
  4. Joyce Poll, 1924–2008.

Jan Harm Pol died on 14 April 1926 at Hamilton, Heath Township, Allegan County, Michigan. The cause of death was determined to be chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma.
