Biography

Lucinda Poling was born in 1849 in Barbour County, Virginia. She was the Daughter of Martin B. Poling and Ruth M Rohrbaugh.

On 11 Nov 1867, Martin B and wife Ruth sold for $1.00 to Lucinda Poling 28 acres on the Valley River. On 19 April 1875, Lucinda sold those 28 acres to Elijah Allen.

Lucinda W. Poling married John Daugherty on 19 December 1878 in Barbour County, West Virginia. Based on Census Records, they had the following children.

Lucinda W. Daugherty married George W. Harper on 11 July 1886 in Roane County, West Virginia.

Lucinda W. Harper married David Shafer on 11 April 1897 in Roane County, West Virginia.

Lucinda passed away in 1927, a patient at the Weston State Hospital.
