The birth of Sarah Rebecca was registered in the Hartlepool district in the third quarter of 1891; her mother's maiden name was Reed.[1] Hers was the seventh registration in a series with the name Pollard, mother Reed, and district Hartlepool. The previous one was Frederick Ernest in 1889, and there is a baptism for him at the Stranton Primitive Methodist, with parents Richard John and Sarah.[2]
At the 1891 census Fred, his parents, and six siblings were living in Hartlepool. Richard and Sarah were both 36, he from Cornwall and she from Norfolk.[3]
At the 1901 census Sarah had died and the family were living in West Hartlepool. Richard's birth place was recorded as "Parish of St Paul, Cornwall"; this was presumably Paul, Penzance.[4]
Sarah passed away in Comox, British Columbia, Canada in 1990.[5]
