Biography

JOHN POLLARD was born on 12 August 1874, in Creswick, to Joseph James Eddy Pollard and Jane (Jenny) McMurtrie. He was christened on 2 May 1884, aged 9, in Creswick. John died on 10 October 1943, aged 69, in Creswick. He was buried on 12 October 1943 in Creswick.


John Pollard aged 26, married Emma Eileen Richarson Norman, aged about 22, on 26 January 1901 in Ballarat. They had nine children: John Ballian Charles Norman Pollard in 1901 Edith Grace Pollard in 1903 Doris Irene Pollard in 1904 Joseph Howard Franklin Pollard in 1906 Elvena Jane Pollard in 1907 Cordella Emmaline Pollard in 1909 Rebecca Mary Pollard in 1911 William Robert Verdun Pollard in 1916 Leslie Thomas Keith Pollard in 1922
