Oliver Cleveland Pollard was a blacksmith and tinker. His shop was at the Biffle crossing of the Brazos River. In 1898 he was adjudge mentally deficient and was in the jail at Meridian TX awaiting transport to the asylum at Terrell TX when he died of pneumonia.
