DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Benjamin by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Benjamin:
Benjamin Pollard b. 1752 was the son of Benjamin and Margaret Pollard. He was married to Hannah Johnson not Catherine Valliere. Benjamin Pollard b. 1752 died 1779 in Savannah. I have several documents to prove this.
Hi Jan: I suspect that you're right that the three generations of Benjamin Pollard have been confused here. Please do attempt to sort them out and upload your references. Note that it's pretty well documented that Catherine Valleed/Valliere did marry *a* Benjamin Pollard, so she can't be removed from the tree completely.
